Step By Step Method for Facial At Home:
What You’ll Need:
- One hour
- Shower cap, hairclips or hairband
- Bathroom sink, large bowl
- Tissues and a towel.
- A good cleanser, toner, face mask/pack, and moisturizer according to your skin type.
1 STEP: CLEANSING
-Tie up hairs: Use hairband, or bobby pins to tug hair, a headband is always the best option to old long hairs and short hairs away from the face. It’s a necessary step to avoid contact between the face and hair to give you complete and effective facial treatment to the skin.
Remove makeup if there is any. Clean the face with a gentle cleanser. Use your favorite cleanser to remove makeup and wash the face. Use lukewarm water instead of using cold, or hot water, because the temperature of this water is best for the all skin types.
You can also use the oil cleansing method to clean the face.
HOW TO DO OIL CLEANSING?
Have some drops of almond oil, jojoba oil, or olive oil to apply on face, and then wipe with lukewarm water. You are done with oil cleansing. So easy to do. This is the best way to remove makeup and it does not have any side effect on the skin.
2 STEP: EXFOLIATION:
Use a facial scrub or other exfoliation products. The dead skin cells are stored on the face and due to this, the face becomes viscous. Exfoliation makes skin shine, it’s a very important part of any facial. Use any brand facial scrub, rub the skin softly to remove the dead cells. If you use a homemade scrub, then facial results will be much effective.
We can help you to create your homemade scrub for exfoliation.
3 TYPES OF HOMEMADE SCRUB RECIPE AND INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 teaspoon milk
2. 1 small spoonful of flour oatmeal, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 teaspoon olive oil
3. 1 teaspoon grounded almonds, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 teaspoon water
When you done with the exfoliation step then, wash face again for one last time to remove all the remains of the facial scrub. Use a lukewarm water dipped washcloth to clean the scrub around eyes and nose. Finish this process by wiping face with a soft towel and wipe it out.
3 STEP: STEAMING/TONING
Now, take a table towel dampened in warm water to steam the face skin. This step helps to peel off blackheads and whiteheads from the skin if there is any. The best method for acne prone skin. Sensitive skin people can avoid this step.
Now, apply some good toner to tighten the skin. Aloe vera gel or any herbal lotion will work. It will remove impurities or dirt left behind in the skin pores.
Another steam method:
Keep the water in a small pot on the stove and heat it. Close the heat and wrap a towel in your head and bring the face over the pot, so that steam emitted from the pot accumulates around your face. Steam on the face for 5-10 minutes and also ensure that you keep the air according to your needs. By taking steam, the pores of the face is opened and face skin becomes fully prepared for the facial and facial mask, which makes the impurities out as well.
Add a little bit of Essential Oil to the water for a more spectacular experience. In this way, you will get steam as well as an Aromatherapy treatment. To refresh yourself, you need to put a few drops of essential oil into the water. For the Essential Oil, you can select lavender, lemongrass, rose, and grapefruit oil, etc.
If you do not have essential oil, then put some aromatic herbal teabags in water such as chamomile, peppermint tea etc.
4 STEP: FACIAL MASK
Make a Facial Mask: Prepare a facial mask that can pull impurities like dirt and dead cells out. You can buy facial masks or facial mask sheets from any local store or online, but if you create facial masks at home for glowing skin, you will have more fun.
Try one of the following homemade facial masks:
For dry skin: Mix 1 banana into 1 tbsp of honey
For Combination Skin: Mix 1 large spoonful Aloe vera in 1 tablespoon honey
For oily skin: 1 teaspoon fuller earth/Multani mitti, 1 TB rose water and lemon juice.
5 STEP: FACIAL MASSAGE WITH MOISTURIZER:
Facial massage with a good moisturizer is an essential part for all skin types. It helps in the improvement of blood circulation which rejuvenates the skin to become healthy and glowing. Now, massage your face with an index finger in a circular motion working upwards, sideward’s and downwards. Start your mid-point and massage forehead while taking them down to the monument. Massage nose, cheeks, lips, chin, and jaws equally. Done with the moisturizing, if you feel skin has soaked moisturizer completely then it means you are done with the facial.
Try to do facial at home every 15-20 days to rejuvenate your skin. How you treat skin, it all reflects on your face and skin. Take out time to repair damaged skin to give that bright glow and flawless skin. A small-time by giving it to yourself can make you feel pampered and fresh.
More the happy skin more the happy YOU.
